Artist Statement — Soléa van Heyningen / SVH Atelier
“Art Diaries TV” was born out of years of invisible labor — quiet construction, emotional excavation, and a deep longing to merge my inner world with the physical one. What began as scattered fragments of thought, photo, and movement has become a cinematic language for self-discovery.
My work moves between the seen and the felt — between the city’s noise and my private silence. It is a reflection of what it means to build a foundation in solitude, to choose authenticity over appearance, and to create art that is both personal archive and collective mirror.
Each diary entry, whether film or recorded conversation, becomes a portal into my subconscious, a reminder that the inner world holds as much geography as the outer one. Art Diaries is not about performance; it is about preservation. It is the act of documenting a becoming...one shadow, one story, one frame at a time.
Through SVH Atelier, I’m building a creative ecosystem that transcends traditional boundaries of art and commerce. My goal is to create work that can live within galleries and the everyday — a blend of narrative, philosophy, and emotional realism.
This project is my foundation, my offering, and my love note to the worlds that shaped me: New York, Paris, Saint Martin and the unseen places between.

At SVH Atelier, collaboration is the soul of our process. We believe great storytelling doesn't happen in isolation it's shaped by shared vision, layered perspectives, and intentional creative exchange.
Art Diaries and all our studio projects are built in conversation with other artists-illustrators, designers, editors, musicians, and more-each bringing their own lens to the work. These collaborations allow us to build richer, more dimensional narratives that feel personal, cinematic, and deeply human.
